Original transom window was in poor shape and painted shut from the inside.

Replacement transom frame was fabricated from 6/4" poplar stock.

Dry fitting frame and captured glass.

Salvaged vintage star pattern glass was selected for the transom to match the breezeway door glass.

Core box grooves were cut into the stiles.

Glue up.

Hinges mortised and installed.

Glass was trimmed in with custom-cut bead moldings. Painted in semi-gloss white.

Final installation.
